Bleach is just now getting to the awesome parts, episode 55 was awesome. FMA was an anime I tried to watch about 6 months ago or maybe more, and didn't want to open up to it. I decided to watch it again and saw the whole series in a few days. (I got kinda busy during the middle of it) Those two are both awesome. I cant believe a WHOLE season of filler for Naruto ><

Even though it's not a medival sword anime, School Rumble is very funny! I recommend it to anyone that likes school comedies. Best of all, it isn't a harlem clone anime! :P

Anything by GAINAX (FLCL, Neon Gensis Evangelion, Mahoromatic) is really good in my opinion. If you want to be freaked out then watch Speed Grapher which is one of the weirdest anime ever. Anything by Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Shamploo) is also good.

Umm.. Vampire Hunter D is already mentioned so maybe "Princess Mononoke" I watched it like 4 years ago but I liked it back then. so I don't know if you will like it and its mainly about a prince not a princess.

Ai Yori Aoshi, Saikano, Fruits Basket, Oh! My Goddess, Rah Xephon, Read or Die are all good animes that I don't think have been mentioned yet.
